In Canada, there exists a significant research gap when it comes to addressing economic justice within the context of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Over the past few years, the Canadian Coalition for Economic Justice (CCFWE) has been actively involved in developing evidence-based research, drawing inspiration from studies conducted in the United Kingdom.

Our most recent national study conducted last year served as an eye-opener for decision-makers. The findings highlighted a crucial need for data to inform policy and action plans. Through national consultations, we discovered that many experts and
organizations working in this field lack access to comprehensive data. This gap affects their ability to remove structural barriers, especially for smaller organizations that may not have the capacity to conduct in-depth research.

At CCFWE, we recognize the urgency of filling this research gap. Our mission is to bridge the divide by conducting robust studies, generating valuable insights, and advocating for evidence-based policies that address economic injustice within the framework of GBV. We aim to empower decision-makers with the knowledge needed to create positive and lasting change.

Explore our website to learn more about our ongoing research initiatives, access resources, and join us in the collective effort to promote economic justice and combat Gender-Based Violence in Canada. Together, we can build a more equitable and informed future.
